Been there, done that - quality of life. Bad word. The day I had to take her (Ogie) to the vet to have her put down, I turned on the car radio and the song playing was Leaving On a Jet Plane...Why that song - sigh - It is one of the hardest things one has to do. Usually Joe would go with me, but she was in pain and that was the way it ended up... we had just finished taking her on a short trip with us so that we could watch and help her. A day or two later,after we returned, we could no longer do so. It was time. Sometimes Loving is just plain rough, but you do what is necessary. We've always stayed with them if that's the way they've had to go.
