I've known a few people that got burned because they'd spend the taxes they collect for services rendered on their toys instead of their quarterlies. One in particular comes to mind. We were young and just starting out and got together with another couple at their home. It was brand new, big, with attached green house. Beautiful setting on the White River. They had a new rv parked on a new rv pad with electricity. They had a brand new boat, new car, new truck, new this, new that.......trampolines for the kids, etc...

One problem.............they didn't pay their quarterlies and eventually lost everything including their marriage.

I was so jealous, and wanted all of that stuff, but my husband insisted we pay the taxes.

He's smart, and I'm more intelligent about what greed and stupidity can do to people.
