>>That's the same as putting a vote on the person, on who most others will vote. With only 2 candidates, this means that you're still part of the decision process of who is going to win.

True. But you have to at least prefer a candidate.

What looks like is shaping up here is battle between --

1. Democratic candidate who appears --

a. Untrustworthy
b. Product of Chicago machine politics, with association with some very corrupt characters, one of which was convicted yesterday.
c. Was able to manipulate democrat rules committee into cutting in half the nominating votes of two major states as a way to kill the candidacy of his opponent, while playing that he is clean and honest.
d. Is a total wild card re economics and value of USD.

2. Republican candidate who appears --

a. To be reaching early senility.
b. Wants to continue to support a mistaken war that is bleeding the economy and value of the currency and is on video as willing to continue said fight for 100 years.
c. Is willing to coddle the religious right.
d. Admits he is not strong in economics... and appears vacant between ears re same.

So in summary -- we have a dollar, resource, and competitively crisis none of which is being talked about by either candidate.

They are both loosers imho... or perhaps it is us who are loosers because of the choices we have available to us this election season.

Obama does, however, want to end the war, and I think, that will get him elected.

Have any spare rooms in Denmark <grin>...?
