Right. But that's because the pro-gun people are incredibly rabid. I'd guess that well more than half of the country doesn't care about that issue at all.

Guns are your issue Ted. I'm pretty much a "leftie", but it says right there in the constitution I get to keep and bear arms, and that's not likely to change. It would take a constitutional amendment.

Millions of votes hinge on where the (D)'s stand on that issue alone. Time for the (D)'s to quit pushing it. For me, the framers let us keep guns in case we need to rise up and confront the government, which they feared might someday become as oppressive as the British were in their day. It's a loser issue.
