<<I've only had that happen to me once and once was more than enough. It's a wicked scary thing to have happen.>>

All popped into my mind with no line of thought or year.

One I remember is from 1974 when I went to a clothing convention in Chicago. The guy I went up with, Bob DeVary, had a BIL, Bob Bigger, who had a room at the Holiday Inn. He also had a friend who knew a hooker who then used that room. I went to the room to get the guy who rode up with me and his BIL was beating up the hooker for a freebee. I all but tossed the guy out the 8th story window and am still sorry I didn't. I called room service and got a sewing kit and patched her dress. Then she wanted to go home with me. I left her there, might have been a big mistake or the best thing I have ever done. Name was Jacki and had the big hair, wore a white dress and was pretty as a new born foal.

Anyway on the way home DeVary asked me for a loan of $35 that he spent doing Jacki. Well it seems he didn't do Jacki, he got a little excited too early. Then the next thing was it was his family's grocery money he spent so he needed a loan until payday.

Payday came and I got because he was an usher in the church and had a family he didn't owe me the money because the money was spent on sin and I was single and didn't go to church that often.

I ran into him years later with his wife and they were having problems. Didn't bring the loan up, hope the Lord gives me a credit for that one.
