Yea GG moving pretty quick this morning....lot of stocks out there looking solid...waiting to see the whites of their eyes though before I believe again.....

Not that I give too much weight to what I hear from CNBC, but someone did say today that if limits are put on institutions in regard to oil that money could be diverted into gold as they would still be seeking exposure to hard assets/commodities. That's okay with me, although I generally favor less regulation than more.

Puplava has mentioned the short position in SSO from time to time. He also mentioned various markdown (manipulation) techniques including "spoil your weekend" and "end of day markdown".

Look at the last few trades today for SSO. It was trading strongly earlier to end up a penny on the day. Last three trades were at 16:10 for a total of 400 shares at 24 cents less than the previous trades.

Maybe I should subscribe to level II quotes.
