>>> if we had simply done what so many other countries have done,

What are you babbling about?

What did all these other countries do and what do you think their motivations for doing them were?

Ted,

......if we had simply done what so many other countries have done, we would not need the oil from ANWR which is the most sour of oil. And had your ridiculous leaders not started a war in Iraq, disrupting the oil flow from that country, the price of crude would be at least $30 less than it currently is.

Iraq is actually one of the most promissing sources for increase oil output, now that the sanctions are no longer in effect.

Instead you want to dig up ANWR which at best will have little impact on our oil supply while despoiling one of the few pristine areas left on the earth so you can frigging waste gas as much as you want.

No, it is so that YOU can waste gas as you want. I don't waste gas.

BTW, I was against drilling in ANWR in the past, when price of oil was low. I view it with open mind.

Joe

Norway, the United Kingdom, and Canada allow offshore drilling and offshore oil production? Are these generally liberal nations insensitive to protecting the environment? Canada has production in the arctic not too far east of ANWR and also off the coast of Nova Scotia. Is the Canadian coastline not environmentally important?
