Their GOAL was to get nukes and they got a couple nukes.

They also wanted to get a "free" light water reactor at the same time and also food aid, energy aid and everything else they could get.

They're STILL trying to get everything they can get, but NOW they have 10 nukes and that gives them a MUCH better hand to play with.

Maybe you haven't noticed, but it's the Bush Administration that has been giving ground in this perpetual standoff. N. Korea is in a BETTER position now than they were before Bush showed up.
