I believe in polls. I just don't believe you run country by them.

But for a poll to "show that isn't true", it has to be structured to address that particular issue. For example, it would need to ask how the respondent feels about Obama voting against confirmation of the most qualified Supreme Candidate of modern times. It would need to make sure respondents understand Obama's short voting history as the most liberal in the Senate, and then ask about that.

The basic problem is that people do not understand what Obama is. His history is short enough he can run from it and nobody knows. So, a simple "Who would you vote for?" poll doesn't cut it -- yet.

Over time, the vetting process continues, and the facts will come out, I believe.
