Oh, probably. They likely first tried to float it as from Obama himself. But that didn't have any legs. Except maybe with Shorty. But, they found that putting the words in Michelle's mouth worked better.

And here we are.

Notice how even Shorty has dropped the "Obama lied about his uncle at the death camp"?
