"embracing a broader investment program committed to bringing more advanced blah blah blah"

A lot of his noise is couched in terms like this. 'Embracing' doesn't really commit him to anything except being open to the possibilities. Sounds good, means whatever he wants it to, or whatever disparate members of his audience want it to mean.

Someone recently posted here about Obama making my life better when he's president. I believe a lot of his supporters just project onto him whatever their own idea of 'better' is.

I still find this mind boggling: <For example, a business owner purchasing a Hummer H1, with a sticker price of $106,185, would be able to deduct $60,722 in the first year under the revised rules: a $25,000 equipment deduction, $24,356 in bonus depreciation, and $11,366 in regular depreciation.>

I worked with several people who bought these monsters for the business write off. They tried to talk me into it. Lunacy reigns over the entire political spectrum IMO.

I still still Hummers and all sorts of SUVs everywhere I go.
