My son was career Navy, most of it aboard an aircraft carrier. He spent a couple years stationed in Bremerton when the boat was stateside. He complained every time I talked to him about the dreary weather. He loves to fish and would go inland quite a ways to camp and fish, he said where the weather was more like he grew up in (Colorado). Not sure where that would be.
