MJ, you are a poor Historian. Terms Limits never got off the ground because of the US Supreme Court declaring it unconstitutional - not because of Congress.

Yes, term limits could eject some congressional "keepers," but the list of those who've already overstayed their usefulness is a mile long. They're the experts at procuring pork for their districts (and therefore deepening the national debt) so voters continue to send them back, no matter how feeble they grow. It's almost an intervention for voters...to break their dependency on debt creating pork.

There would be nothing to prevent a former member of congress to run again in the future.
