I'm guessing it's 5% of the electorate (people who would vote Dem but won't vote for a black guy). I'm guessing a minimum of 20% (a lot to overcome). You live in the Northeast, I live in the semi-South (FL). So our general regional experience may be the difference in our estimate. When you think about it, the difference in regional politics in this country is quite bizarre considering how much we move around because of jobs, family considerations, climate preferences, etc.
