News alert. European nations have been paying 3x what US pays for years. Japan has been paying more than twice ours. And Brazil nearly twice ours.

Yup. Why is that?

With the United States price of gas getting where it needs to be, we will be energy independent very soon. See Krauthammer's excellent column this week.

Higher gas prices are what causes nations to become energy independent. Not the government "butting in".

Why do you think gas prices are higher in the countries you cited up above?

We could be energy independent today if the liberals didn't control Congress and thereby keep us from drilling in ANWR and other places. If you want to blame someone, blame yourselves.

Stupid is at stupid does!

And just for the record, o wise one, the ANWR came up for vote while the GOP controlled all of Congress and the presidency......and it went down to defeat. Apparently, there are some "stupid"]
GOPers in that mix.
