No I didn't.

Pulling the wrong data over the saturated FSB therefore lowers performance by definition.

So why was cache pollution mentioned by INTEL and not bandwidth constriction. Really you must stop making up BS.

Another thing, in that Intel pdf I posted software prefetching worked for that application. According to your made up theory that should be 'bandwith-constrained' too. It clearly isn't, it's the quality/relevance of the data that's prefetched that's important i.e. cache purity/pollution is what counts.
