LOL! I am not worried about stocks, cause I'm not in them -g-.
I'll start buying F today. I'm not sure if it ever sees 5
again... US automakers are in deep trouble, and are very cheap
as a result. F currently makes the best cars of Detroit 3. I
would not buy Chrysler, but then again.... I can't ... <GGG>
Me buying stuff is long term rotation within a BEAR MARKET.
Yes, we are 8 years into one. Buying in portions, averaging in,
cause I have no clue how low F and GM will go. Maybe zero <G>

Earnings, of course, suck. Rather, it's value of the businesses
themselves than earnings at this point. Pretty much all gold
companies had no earnings in 1999-2000. I believe F is very
cheap at 14B, and GM is very cheap at 9B. Chrysler may go
broke - they make the worst cars of the big 3 at this point.
That just means they switch owners <G>

High oil is hurting Detroit, as they were gambling on trucks
and now have to sell those for nothing. That will change.
Compare to Nissan in 1998-99, as small car sales plunged due
to low oil.

Somehow I don't think oil is going to infinity - high gas
prices will pop oil this Summer, maybe July, maybe earlier.
As soon as the World goes into recession, we may even see
oil back to 50. But then again... this stuff depends... <G>

I think this high oil stuff may end with Shrub's presidency,
unless of course... McCain -ggg- We should see an
anti-globalization trend emerging soon - manufacturing
coming back to the US due to lower dollar.
