I'd certainly rather have another Jimmy Carter than another Bush.

It's been unfortunate for the Country that Carter wasn't reelected in 1980. If he had been, then we never would have gotten into this Borrow and Spend NONSENSE that the Republicans have been pushing for the last 28 years.

If Carter had been reelected we would STILL have had the economic growth of the 1980's AND the END of the Cold War, but we wouldn't have seen our National Debt EXPLODE from less than 1 Trillion to the 9 Trillion or more that it has reached today.

When I say that Bush is "dumb", I'm not talking about innate intellectual ability. I'm talking about "intellectual curiosity" and the ability to see things from different perspectives.

I haven't "bought" anything from Obama's people. I don't know if the guy would be a good President or not, but I DO think he'd consult the "brightest" people around before making decisions and that ALONE makes him much more qualified to be President than Bush ever was.

I like McCain, but the only thing he seems to be talking about as far as the economy is MORE tax cuts. I liked him a LOT better when he was against the Bush tax cuts. Maybe he'll straighten up if he gets elected. I'm NOT saying that I think his thoughts about corporate tax rates are wrong.

I just want to hear SOMEBODY say that the U.S. needs to start PAYING its BILLS.
