Many of us who voted against Hillary would love to see a woman president too. Just not her. That is not sexism in any way, shape or form. I can think of a bunch of female politicians I wouldn't consider presidential caliber myself. But it all depends on the individual.

It will be more interesting to watch the ranks of female governors and senators and see who emerges as the most likely to go all the way somewhere down the line.

The strident and emotional reaction of some to Hillary's defeat is embarrassing to me as one of those 60s "transition woman" myself.

Yes, that's it. That's what's bothering me. I'm embarrassed as a woman and feminist. Conjuring up victimhood at this late date in the movement is embarrassing.

I'd like to see a woman president. I'd like to see a black president, too. Either would buy a candidate some extra points from me, probably enough for tie breaker, just for the marker that such a landmark would provides. But neither trumps any factor that's otherwise important in making my vote.
