How many dissenters are there, how many supporters, among total number of ejidatarios, this is what it comes down to ... if you've got eighty per cent you have an iffy chance but must improve your support, if ninety then it will take a bit of time that's all, if ninety-five and up then less time but still some, don't hold your breath

'Wood' = Madera, name of municipio, babelfish translates proper names too

'company intends to shape ejido' - 'to shape' probably was darle forma or desarrollarse, 'plans to develop'

'Shares of blockade' - should be 'Blockading actions' or somesuch

If the company has broken its word in any way, that's deadly ... even if some junior employee has verbally promised something that can't be delivered, look out ... i haven't followed this at all, amark, can speak only in generalities, often while living in our own ejido far to the south of there i have no clue as to what exactly is driving its politics, sometimes gossip afterwards clarifies matters, sometimes just muddies them further ... this is also true of two regional district boards in BC, one of which i live in, fwiw

For those that speak it, here is a Spanish version of the events.

cml.sarava.org

It sure makes more sense in Spanish. Sounds like a pretty nasty situation.

Sure is nice to read about in Spanish.

Weird translation there.
