Someone related their personal experience, which A) I am in no position to dispute, B) You are in no position to dispute (not that it stopped you from trying), C) is corroborated by historical facts D) Is corroborated by many many other anecdotes.

Yes, someone related his personal experience like I did. You were insulted by what was obviously just a joke to everyone else but the point remains. You wanted to believe him so you gobbled up his claim and took offense to mine. Furthermore, his claim is not supported by any historical fact other than the one planted in your mind by an over active imagination.

You seem to think that its implausible that Intel could/would lean on Supermicro to not sell AMD-based products

Unlike you, I would like to see facts before drawing conclusions. You have none to present.
