I'm not questioning him specifically, but the system. Do you think we should give lifetime welfare to able bodied people? My God the man is a US Senator! I would have ABSOLUTELY NO PROBLEM with giving a lifetime pension to any soldier who spent 5 years as a POW. None, whatsoever. Nevermind that he was tortured during the entire time. Nevermind that he has never been able to lift his arms above his head since he returned from Hanoi. I don't think you have given this much thought. Perhaps you should go away and ponder it for a day or two, then discuss it. Geez. Between you and Parsons, I'm not sure which one appreciates the sacrifices soldiers make less.
