Only if we decide that is what we want to do. However, they are going to try to drill our way out first. Completely ignoring the fact that will make little difference in the price of gas. Now, it could help reduce our dependence on foreign oil, but that is about it.

There is no way we can drill enough to significantly impact global supply. Unless that happens, prices won't go down.
