Thank you, I'm doing well, staying very busy.

A few random observations -

>Many (not all) European customers have become almost price insensitive to US tech products - I expect they see the Euro price, and everything is on sale, 30% off.

A good time to sell things to Europeans. Maybe they can buy condos in HK like HK bought condos in Vancouver ? Any watches you want to sell - this could be a good time ;-)

I don't think the Europeans are the new Japanese, at least not yet.

>Bush & friends have done enormous damage to many parts of the US, and it will take years to recover. Meanwhile, China or Europe will get to pick up the check.

> I saw one picture of a bridge that was down from the Schiuan earthquake. The pillars supporting the bridge look like they were designed based on what was learned from the 1989 San Francisco quake. The pillars didn't fail, but the bridge still came down. Another half a point on the Richter scale overcomes better construction and what we have learned about preventing damage from quakes. I find this very disturbing.

> The US election will nasty, the opening rounds of a culture war, possibly. Maybe some oil companies will move their headquarters to Hong Kong ;-)

> Mexico's oil production keeps falling, but higher prices are more than compensating. When oil drops, it will be nasty.

> There's a software service for online PC meetings call "gotomeeting" www.gotomeeting.com low overhead, works well, everyone can see your screen. You still need a separate phone connection. You can invite other people to join, all they need is a web browser.

bad money always chases out the good cash. $800bn will move into emerging markets 2009. Below the 1 trillion of n 2007 but still the seocnd highest in history.
