I was there too! I remember MRL, FLC, PGO (which I traded successfully short term) and JimP's SMOP which he got me into early enough to make a handsome profit.

I started trading energy when oil was $9 per barrel and it wasn't the oil inventories we watched weekly, it was the rig counts we monitored every week, determining how many rigs had picked up a contract.

The same arguments being used today about high oil prices were the same arguments being used back when oil hit $25 to $30.

Frank,

You weren't the only one with PGO - the most money I've ever lost on a stock too.

Learned (and forgot) a few lessoning with that lil POS company

Oh the memories! UFAB and PGO were definitely interesting. Tengasco (TGC) was another interesting one, as was the one with a single gas field offshore Sable Island up near Nova Scotia. I remember the hourly flaring updates over on the Yahoo thread.

My biggest mistake in hind site was not holding the gassers longer.

Will all went round and round with RRC, CHK, XTO, etc...when they were trading under $5. Seems we were right but took awhile longer then expected.

Hope is all well you

Michael

I certainly did not mean to seem to question it - I see it here every day.

Frank-

Those were the days, eh? Almost anything one touched went up with the exception of PGO. Like you, I remember that one well because my stubborness in acknowledging a bad trend line cost me over $1 million by the time I cut and ran.

Thank God for all the other victories.

I remember that PGO nightmare. The only bust from jim_p that I recall. Maybe I'm just forgetting :o)

On the other hand, he did well for me with Reliant. Made up for PGO because I flushed it before it killed me. Too bad he's not adding to this board anymore.
