The head systems guy at a place where I used to work was like that. We called him R2D2 and he was worth his weight in gold. Came to work in the morning and his eyes lit up like a kid in a candy store, when it was time to leave you could see the air go out of his tires. He liked me because I listened to him and pretended to understand when he went off on technical jargon that was miles over my head. Helluva nice guy but his head was on a different planet.. :)
