thanks.

Yes, a deal was made in Nov 2006. Your comment:
"A deal was made in nov06? ... then a deal is a deal is a deal, if it was fair, and fairly and transparently made"

Ejido wants to change it now that it has elected new president. The deal was $12,000 for your house OR you can take $4,000 and live in MFL built house that has running water, electricity, toilet, and a tile floor (vs. dirt floor of most existing houses). Also, MFL committed to hire locals, not pollute environment, build church school & town infrastructure, pay for all electricity bills for first 15 years.

Yes, believe you are right about densification issue, can see why they would prefer more land for their livestock and fruit trees which evidently they forgot to provide for in the agreement made in Nov 2006.

Hope you are right that "a deal is a deal". MFL can probably figure out a way to provide them more land for livestock. From what I read, ejido are trying to claim that MFL not providing enough local jobs, polluting the envirnoment (kind of funny thing to claim since MFL has not started production yet), and other provisions of the agreement, but I have a suspicion that what they really want is more cash up front, regardless of the Nov 2006 agreement.
