As for what he did over there, I am inclined to say his fellow officers have a right to their opinion. Especially when he is campaigning with members of his crew. This is really a point that hasn't been made. These were independent statements made, not by the "Right Wing" as has been suggested, but by people who knew Kerry, did the same job, some who worked with him, and some who had credible information about him. I think that's why it was effective. A stronger view would be called for if, for example, the opposing campaign was running the ads -- which wasn't the case.
