O'Reilly is correct about more drilling and we do need more nukes, but he's out to lunch on flex fuels. Ethanol is bad news, for several reasons, and is not a viable solution to oil shortages.

Blaming OPEC is stupid as well. The whole world wide story of oil and its derivatives boils down to supply and demand. Supply is banging into some strong headwinds and demand keeps growing. What's happening now with prices is simply Econ 101.

So, this is obviously a national security issue and Congress must mandate by law that American auto companies begin mass producing flex-fuel vehicles and quickly phase out gas-only products.

The end justifies the means? Good grief. I hope you don't agree with that bs that Congress ought to mandate ANYTHING.

The market is already beginning to work in that direction. Let it alone.
