Most likely culprit is the battery. My wife's PC is doing the same thing. I need to replace the battery and see if that solves the issue.

If it's exactly an hour, you might check if the auto daylight time function is enabled. Double click on the time to open the clock panel, then click on Time Zone. If you uncheck "auto clock adjust", that might cure your problem..

Edit: You also might have an incorrect time zone setting (Eastern instead of Central, etc)..
