It really doesn't matter -- it is totally beside the point, which was the our presence in SA had little to do with bin Laden's 9/11 attack.

I guess you only take him at face value when he threatens terrorist attacks.

If they could provide their own security (i.e., protection from Iran), then I would be pleased for us to leave. But there has to be a withdrawal that makes sense in the way it protects Iraq from Iran (and others) in the process.

What, we adopted these wimps for life?

In this connection, I will tell you I do have some discomfort with the negotiations that are now underway between Iraq and Iran in regard to America's continued presence. But I don't think the facts are out on this yet, so we'll have to wait and see.
