I almost died on Mt Rainier. Got lost up there in a blizzard. I think that was in July.

My sister reported a blizzard in the Mission Valley in Montana. It was snowing so hard her wipers could hardly clear her windshield.

On todays GW front we get this.

Deadman Pass, about 45 miles southeast of me got nearly 2' of snow yesterday. Tollgate, which is less than a 1/2 drive, got 10".

Crazy weather.

I was just listening to one of the rescuers on a local talk radio show. This was a day hike, and the blizzard was sudden and created 5' snow drifts. The climbers dug a snow cave, but really weren't prepared...........as usual. The guy that died was the woman in the party's husband, and he sacrificed himself to keep her warm.

Too bad the Army can't bill Algore for the rescuers and the Chinook helicopter....Maybe the hikers really believed we have global warming so they would be OK to hike...
