Pardon me if hearing that he wants to do something doesn't fill me with confidence that it will get done. Pardon me for thinking that you guys won't throw him any bone, ever, no matter what. One of the raps on Bush has been that he wouldn't even consider let alone admit any mistake. Well, he just made a small admission of a mistake. It seems to me that fairness and objectivity require some tiny recognition of that--even if for no other reason than as a curiosity in light of past performance--before going back to bashing as usual.
