It appears the company does not care that the price is low. With this in mind, I can only assume that they want the price as low as possible so the new CEO can get his options as cheap as possible for the next few quarters. Why else won't they buy back the stock at this level or at least "threaten" the market with a buyback?

Their disdain for long term shareholders is clear, imo.

Maybe flipping burgers would be more appropriate for this group?
