Bob, there is no thread rule that says every single post has to be about what you consider issues. FWIW, Bush's genuineness as the "Texas ranch guy" is a legitimate political issue in my book.

Second, the Rezko thing would be pretty tangential. I never said there was anything the least bit suspect or illegal about Bush's ranch, just that it was bought, operated and portrayed as a political symbol.

Having had relatives who grew up on real Texas farms and ranches, I find it totally comical.

Why do you think the Bushes never owned any kind of ranch before 1999 if they get off on it so much? There was no lack of resources or opportunity for them to purchase one. Bush got the land for $800/acre. Why are they talking about settling in the old money enclave in North Dallas after DC?

If you can find a parallel between that and Rezko, good luck.
