This plan to take the profits of a public company owned by millions of shareholders in their 401K's is fundamentally unfair, unconscionable and smacks of socialism. Only someone as despicable as Hugo Chavez would do such a thing.

Our government takes more of the profit in gas than the oil companies themselves make via the gas taxes we pay - perhaps they should start with the bigger price gougers.

The fact the D's are lawyers and don't comprehend the basics of supply and demand is laughable and dangerous for both our economy and security.

We should drill everywhere, develop coal, nuclear, wind, solar, conservation and anything else that looks promising and do them all at once.

D's are so found of saying "if it only saves one child, or every little bit helps" except when we could supply 10% of own oil, then it's useless and a waste of time and money. Hypocrites!!!
