Hey, his grandmother was a bank VP in Honolulu - okay, banks have lots of VP's and thats a glorified title usually - but I'm guessing she knew someone with pull.

And for all I know, there was no scholarship at all, just sacrifice by an older couple for a beloved grandchild.

those kansans must have pull, eh? Maybe Dole recommended him. The above is one of your silliest comments but the thrust of your post is correct. In Teds world if the govt isnt involved, it cant be any good.
