Stay away from the Dallas-Fort Worth area then, very far away. When I was little, I grew up in Richardson, marked on the map. We had fields to ride our bikes in until the next tract housing development went up nearby.

The unbroken (I mean really unbroken) development is now 20-25 miles further north in McKinney. Dallas and Fort Worth have mostly knit together with suburban sprawl east-west.

Yuck. I was so glad when my Mom moved south and I got to stop going there.
