The point is that with today's political climate, the only ones who can work for you will be the dry, bland people who has zero chance of offending anybody anytime. I sort of agree with you. It's getting ridiculous. McCain having to disavow some guy that endorses him, Obama has to quit his church, it all distracting and superfluous stuff that takes up ~90% of the airtime. Gotcha politics gets real old and boring, especially when there are real important issues to debate.
