It is distasteful but thrives in an environment of undereducated, somewhat disinterested voters. It takes work to get to the truth of things.

Going forward, my hope is simply that voters on all sides will become more skeptical and less susceptible to all kinds of propaganda and especially that designed to arouse unreasonable fear.

There are plenty of real things to make one fearful.
