Hi,

Yes, it is both sad and mind boggling. Sun management got it so right during the dot com boom but when the economy went south they failed to adjust. McNeally directed Sun the wrong way and the hiring of Schwartz was another mistake. He pegged Sun's future on Open Source software which has turned out to be a failure to date.

I hope that Sun merges with Dell and combines the best of Sun's engineering and Dell's marketing. Presently, I am beginning to doubt that Sun has better engineering than it's competition but I think the combination of two hasbeens would make a competitive company.
