Second growth mono aged industrial forest are wildlife wastelands

That might happen when the land use objectives do not include wildlife habitat, but when wildlife objectives are factored in to the prescription it is not inevitable, nor even likely. The land owners and their management plans determine which objectives are appropriate. On public lands, that includes wildlife.

Maintenance of escape cover and travel corridors are important. Our standards were for a 60/40 ratio.

Industrial lands do not necessarily have wildlife objectives, although some do.
