Can you tell I am disgusted?

Yes, I can. Many on this thread feel much the same way.

In my view, the oil/gas issue rests largely with the environmental democrats and those republicans without a spine. They have prevented drilling, refineries etc. for many years.

GWB started out good with his push for ANWR, but he quit.

This is a winning issue for republicans if anyone has the guts to stay the course on the topic.

Standby for the feds famous 55mph speed limit again. It can't be far away.

Everybody points out that a large chunk of the current price is not just demand but speculation, an oil bubble. An announcement by America of a change in energy policy that permitted drilling offshore and for oil shale, etc could burst that bubble and provide some immediate relief.
