I would characterize Apple's stock performance for the past few years in 2 distinct blocks,

- the first started in 03 sometime and was centered around Ipod as a new space for apple- this ipod frenzy peaked in Jan 06 at a stock price of 72.

Then a nasty correction all the way down to 50 through July 06. Then the rally started again until where we are now based on,

- a reluctant realization that Vista was a failure and Mac was gaining on windows
- release of the hugely successful macbook line
- speculation about iphone

Now here we are and iphone is a reality, Mac is accepted as a growing PC niche, etc. About the only huge new thing I can think of on the horizon for apple is more strength in downloaded video which so far has alluded them.
