The narrow decision of the SC in defense of habeus corpus has me concerned especially with the way Obama supporters are so dismissive of the way people like me feel about the situation.

Could you explain this? I lost you when you went from the possibility of hidden prejudice at the polling booths (on which I agree with you) and the SC decision on habeas corpus having something to do with dismissive Obama supporters.

Their views will not show up in most polls but I am afraid their feelings will show up in the polling booths

Sigh.....it's just so hard to say to what extent old prejudices will prevail in November. This is such an interesting and historic election and I can't wait to see all the final voting patterns dissected and examined.

I like to think that the greater AA turnout will override whatever white prejudicial voting patterns emerge. My guess though is that it will come down once again to a few large states like FLA and OH.
