I've worked at home, mainly when I lived in Seattle area and the weather was too nasty to commute in. I didn't like it. There are too many distractions and temptations at home. However, you can't beat the commute. I have a buddy who works for a large commercial glass company. He travels a lot (Mexico, Europe), but when he's in town, he works out of a home office. Seems to work for him. Good luck. At least you won't have idiots coming off the elevator asking you for directions like you're the building Concierge.
