There's the rub, for sodium sulphur battery, keeping sodium at 270 C or greater, for (the only 2000) lifetime cycle of battery..on the one hand storing energy, and on the other using grid energy to keep the core of battery hot at 270 C ...doesn't sound efficient.What happens to battery if grid goes black?what type of backup would be needed?Cost? Efficiency?

They left VRB off this chart... maybe good thing, check out the cycle life line..VRB would look out of place posting over 10,000 round trip cycles.<g>
