Honestly, why don't we just cave and get rid of this damned capitalism and convert to communism? Isn't that what we need to do? Let Osama, Al, Ted, CJ, JF, and Parsons be the ruling class, and we'll just work our asses off so they can decide how to spend our money.

That is, after all, what they want. Let's not get all balled up about achievement. To each according to his need, from each according to his ability.

It worked great for the Soviets, right?

What do you think the rate would be if they made fica applicable to all income but only sought to raise the same amount of dollars thru the tax as now? I would be for such a system that exempted the first XXX dollars of income or provided tax credits across the board for the first XXXX of income.
