What brought us out of the Ice Ages? CO2?

The entire environment of Earth can be described as a complex, constantly shifting equilibrium. The average temperature has never stayed constant over any time period, even one as small as a few centuries.

Now I'm not naive enough to think that six billion people on this Earth aren't going to have a collective impact on the environment. But change is inevitable. We have a responsibility to not live like locusts, but come on. I don't think a little extra CO2 in the air spells doom for our planet.
