You gave me a good idea, thanks. My wife asked me recently to get her the Thomas book. I think the 3 books you mentioned will make a nice birthday present. Last year she got a lakeside cabin (where both of us hang out a lot - g), so a few books would imply scaling down a bit, but clearly that was unavoidable... :)

Lomborg's book is a simple and refreshing read. The Kyotists claim "scientific consensus" - which is no more than an obfuscation, because the science of this issue will take many years to sort out. Instead of arguing "science", Lomborg hits them where it hurts - on their obvious exaggerations and hysterics, and most importantly - he argues that their proposed "cures" would be ineffective and wasteful. And those "cure" projects is where the money is.

Normally I don't link paperbacks, but this hardcover is a bit pricey. You can buy the hardcover new for $150 or the paperback new for as little as $10.
